Did you know that Dubrovnik was one of the most prosperous and advanced maritime republics of all time? On this historic walk, you’ll travel through the heart of the old town and witness the impressive economic, social, and cultural achievements of Dubrovnik over the centuries.
Starting by Pile Gate, you’ll discover many essential old town landmarks such as the Franciscan Monastery, D’Onofrio’s Fountain, Orlando’s Column, and Rector’s Palace.
You’ll hear some of the fascinating stories and remarkable facts from around 1,400 years of Dubrovnik history, including the classic period of the Republic of Ragusa.
It is an excellent introduction to the old town!
MEETING POINT
The Dubrovnik Discover the Old Town – 1,5h starts At the city in Pile area, right by the bus stop. Pile is the last bus / taxi stop when heading towards the old town. Find it on Google maps by simply typing in “DUBROVNIK WALKS”. ( check Map’s Meeting point )
For all our tours is right by PILE bus stop / taxi drop off point and right next to the only newsstand in this area. Super easy to find as Pile is the last stop for all city buses, taxis & Uber when heading towards the pedestrian old town.
Meet your guide 5–15 minutes before the tour at the designated location (look for the Dubrovnik Walks orange umbrella). While reservations are not required from June to October, we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
Address is Brsalje 8. Dubrovnik Walks representatives & orange umbrella are all there! If you are arriving by ship, you can get a taxi at the port or local bus number 1 a/b or 3, it drops you off right at our m. point. The distance is about 3.5 kms, it’s a 10 min ride.
Taxi costs from 4 to 20 € and bus ride (1 way) is 2 € per person. Taxi apps we suggest are: Plavi taxi, Uber, Eko taxi, Bolt or Cammeo.

Yes. Dubrovnik Discover the Old Town is our only walking tour specifically designed to be suitable for everyone. It is an easy and accessible experience ideal for families with children, couples, seniors, and solo travellers.
Meeting Point
The meeting point is at Brsalje 8, Dubrovnik.
Look for the Orange Umbrella.
The meeting point is located in the Pile area, at the last bus stop before entering Dubrovnik Old Town.
We recommend arriving at least 10–15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Minimum Participants Policy
All daily walking tours require a minimum of 4 participants to guarantee departure.
If fewer than 4 participants arrive at the meeting point, you will be offered one of the following options:

We do not engage in the sale or resale of entrance tickets. We only provide information about these tickets.Entrance tickets are to be purchased at the entrance to the walls/fort if you have not purchased them or "Dubrovnik Pass" in advance.
Please note that if you already have a VALID city walls/St.Lawrence's fort ticket or Dubrovnik Pass, you don't need another one to do our WALLS & WARS tour/COMBO tour or GAME OF THRONES tour (Walls ticket covers the fee for St. Lawrence's fort). You are welcome to use the one you have, it just has to be valid (used max 24 hours apart). Please remember that all entrance tickets and the Dubrovnik Pass can only be used once.
It is not required, but please keep in mind that we need a minimum of 4 persons to run any tour, so it is always a good idea to book in advance. Cancellation policy is full refund if cancelled up to 24 h before the tour! No refund if cancelled in less than 24 h into the tour!

Our only requirement for a guaranteed departure of all our daily walking tours is to have a minimum of 4 people. In case less than 4 people turn up, on spot you'll be offered 3 options: 1.) to pay for additional tickets, to reach the minimum of 4; this way you might have a private tour at bargain price 2.) to come back at another scheduled time (again a min of 4 policy applies) 3.) to get a full refund
Cancellation Policy: 100% refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the tour; no refunds thereafter. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the tour, you are required to attend at the originally booked time. For cancellations less than 24 hours before the tour, we do not provide refunds. However, we will offer alternative tour options or reschedule your booking. It is important to contact us in advance if you are unable to attend the tour you have booked.
Our tour groups can vary in size, depending on the specific tour and demand. While we cannot guarantee a specific group size, we aim to ensure a manageable group for an enjoyable experience. We strike a balance between creating a lively atmosphere and allowing personal interaction with the guide, aiming to provide a pleasant and engaging tour.We accept last-minute bookings, resulting in varying group sizes. To enhance communication, we provide headset devices for clear guidance. While we make efforts to accommodate large groups by assigning additional guides and splitting the group, it is not always guaranteed. Booking in advance is recommended for better organization.For a more personalized experience, we offer private tours with a dedicated guide exclusively for your group.
OR WALKING TOURS: Wear comfortable shoes, bring some water (we drink tapped water in Dubrovnik), wear a hat, some sunscreen and bring in a good mood! :)
FOR SEA KAYAKING: Bring bathing suit, sunscreen, snorkeling mask and a good mood, everything else can fit in a waterproof bags that you get to carry with you during the tour!
