Sail along the coast of Chianalea, the historic fishermen’s district of Scilla. From the sea you can admire colorful houses built directly on the water and small docks used by local fishermen. This unique village is often called the “Venice of Calabria.”
Continue along the spectacular Costa Viola, famous for its dramatic cliffs, deep blue waters, and elegant seaside villas. As the boat approaches Bagnara Calabra, your skipper will share stories about traditional swordfish fishing and coastal life in Calabria.
The coastline around Bagnara hosts some of the most impressive sea caves along the Costa Viola.
San Sebastiano Cave
A large natural grotto sculpted by waves and wind, offering striking rock formations and perfect photo opportunities from the boat.
Ajax’s Arch
A natural stone arch created by centuries of sea erosion, standing dramatically above the water.
Mermaids’ Cave
A beautiful cave surrounded by legends, known for its turquoise waters and impressive geological shapes.
Swallows’ Cave
A smaller cave where swallows often nest, adding life and movement to the rocky cliffs.
The boat anchors at Cala Janculla, a hidden cove between cliffs and open sea. Enjoy a refreshing swim in clear turquoise waters surrounded by wild coastal scenery.
