Workshop Details:

For centuries, pottery has been thought almost a form of alchemy, accompanied by ingredients and secret recipes ‘because the raw materials were combined and worked at the factories with laborious and toxic processes handed down among a few. Today, the industrialization of raw materials has made it possible for anyone who wishes to experience this world. For the many lovers and curious about ceramics, I propose various formulas to experiment with one’s manual skills and creativity in a serene and productive atmosphere in the name of creative idleness.

During this 3-hour session, you’ll have the opportunity to work with modeling clay, learn about its properties and plasticity, try your hand at using the pottery wheel, experience the glazing process, and even try your hand at decorating ceramic enamel. The class usually begins with experimenting with small animal sculptures or the coiling technique, and ends with trying your hand at the pottery wheel. We will also explore decorating techniques using bath enamel and vertical ceramic enamel, with a variety of decorative motifs to choose from. This comprehensive session will provide you with a broad overview of ceramic production and allow you to try a bit of everything. This class can accommodate a minimum of 1 participant and a maximum of 6. Please note that it is not recommended for children under 7, and discounts are available for children under 14.

• Water and coffee are always available.
• Guests are provided with a work apron.
• Comfortable clothes are recommended.
• The objects created, once cooked, can be shipped at the guest’s expense
• Both Italian and English, but on request, we can have a translation service for the three hours of experience, to pay separately.
• Without prejudice to the duration of the experiences, the time will be specified booking, reconciling my commitments with the guest’s needs.
• Payment at the time of booking confirmation, date and time accepted by both parties
• Cancellation up to 48 hours in advance will result in a full refund. After this term, experiences are non-refundable.
• The events are located on the ground floor of a building in the historic center, right on the main road.

Per secoli, la ceramica è stata considerata quasi una forma di alchimia, accompagnata da ingredienti e ricette segrete, poiché le materie prime venivano combinate e lavorate nei laboratori con processi laboriosi e talvolta tossici, tramandati tra pochi. Oggi, l’industrializzazione delle materie prime ha reso possibile a chiunque desideri avvicinarsi a questo mondo. Per gli amanti e i curiosi della ceramica, propongo diverse formule per sperimentare la propria manualità e creatività in un’atmosfera serena e produttiva, all’insegna dell’ozio creativo.

Durante questa sessione di 3 ore, avrai l’opportunità di lavorare con l’argilla da modellazione, conoscerne le proprietà e la plasticità, cimentarti nell’uso del tornio da ceramica, scoprire il processo di smaltatura e persino provare la decorazione su smalto ceramico. Il laboratorio solitamente inizia con la sperimentazione di piccole sculture di animali o la tecnica del colombino, per poi concludersi con una prova al tornio. Esploreremo anche le tecniche decorative con smalto a immersione e smalto ceramico verticale, scegliendo tra diversi motivi ornamentali. Questa sessione completa ti fornirà una panoramica ampia sulla produzione ceramica e ti permetterà di sperimentare un po’ di tutto.

Da sapere:

• Acqua e caffè sempre disponibili.

• Viene fornito un grembiule da lavoro.

• Si consiglia abbigliamento comodo.

• Gli oggetti realizzati, una volta cotti, possono essere spediti a spese dell’ospite.

• La lezione si svolge in italiano e inglese. Su richiesta è disponibile un servizio di traduzione per le tre ore di esperienza (servizio da pagare separatamente).

• La durata dell’esperienza rimane invariata; l’orario verrà concordato al momento della prenotazione, conciliando i miei impegni con le esigenze dell’ospite.

• In caso di cancellazione fino a 48 ore prima, è previsto il rimborso totale. Trascorso tale termine, l’esperienza non è rimborsabile.

• L’evento si svolge al piano terra di un edificio nel centro storico, direttamente sulla strada principale.

• Si segnala la presenza di 5 gradini per accedere alla location. Purtroppo, non siamo attrezzati per persone con difficoltà motorie.
